Baby Blue – Allvac® AV8000 Vacuum Tanker

November’s truck of the month is one that’s as distinctive in appearance as it is in performance – Couch’s Septic Tank Cleaners’ new Allvac® AV8000 vacuum tanker! Fully painted in Couch’s signature branding colours, the Waimea team have affectionately and rather obviously nicknamed it Baby Blue.

The AV8000 vacuum tanker is an ideal unit for many operators – it has an impressive 8000L capacity, which is always a sell for companies with high productivity needs, but it’s also incredibly compact. The Hino 4×2 chassis is the smallest in its class, small enough to easily navigate tight roads and domestic driveways to perform its work, which is a huge benefit to operators working in urban and suburban areas. It’s also got a low centre of gravity that enables it to traverse highways and winding roads easily, even with a full tank.

This high volume-to-size ratio is a big selling point for liquid waste operators. It means that they’re able to get jobs done in the minimum amount of time and with minimum waste of resources, since they don’t have to take more trips back and forth to get the job done – but they also don’t have to worry about the logistics of manoeuvring an enormous, heavy, clumsy truck into a tight urban environment or round winding bends.

Baby Blue is heading down south to Couch’s to begin its work on rural septic waste work in and around Rangiora. It’s the perfect unit for the job – the maximum volume will save too much long-distance driving back and forth, and the low centre of gravity means it can navigate the bumpiest of roads safely.

Like its non-blue Allvac® siblings, Baby Blue bears the well proven Italian Moro Kaiser PM90 vacuum pump, capable of pulling 95% vacuum. This is a top piece of equipment that makes it a pro at dealing with any septic waste, no matter how old and overdue for cleaning.
