Our August Truck of the Month goes to ASAPVAC's Allvac® AV4000H, now fully signwritten with this awesome design and out on job sites right across Christchurch. No two days look the same for owner Chris Sherwin (https://www.linkedin.com/in/chris-sherwin-07a356374/), and the unit has already proven itself just as capable after dark as it is in daylight.

ASAPVAC's client list has grown quickly, spanning local councils and tier 1 contractors across a wide range of site types throughout Christchurch. The AV4000H has settled into everything from trenching and potholing to underground service locating without missing a beat, giving the crew confidence no matter what the day brings.

Some jobs can't be finished in a single day, so the build prioritised strategically placed LED lighting that lets the crew keep working safely once the sun goes down. That was put to the test on a recent after-hours call-out, with the truck lit up and working through a crisp Christchurch winter night. Safety was front of mind throughout the build, and it shows in a unit that performs just as confidently at 2am as it does at midday.

At the core of the unit is 90% deep vacuum from its NVE tri-lobe blower, giving ASAPVAC the performance needed for genuinely non-destructive excavation around live underground services.

Built as a compact yet capable hydro excavation unit, the AV4000H suits an operator taking on a varied workload across a wide service area, moving from a suburban council job to a late-night contractor call-out without compromising on safety or capability.

Week after week, it's a reminder of what the right hydro excavation truck can do for underground damage prevention across Canterbury.
