Our February truck of the month is ready to roll up its sleeves and get to work on the West Coast’s power lines – and it’s bringing some serious muscle to the job.

A little different from our usual lines crane trucks, this build features a powerful Hiab X-HiDuo 258E-5 crane. With an impressive 13.8 metres of hydraulic outreach and a substantial 22.6 tonne-metre lifting moment, it’s purpose-built for heavy-duty performance where it matters most. Whether it’s lifting poles, transformers, or essential equipment, this crane delivers the strength and precision required for demanding electrical infrastructure work.

Mounted on the rugged Hino FS2632 6x4 chassis, this truck offers the best of both worlds – the strength and traction of a 6x4, paired with surprising manoeuvrability. That winning combination makes it ideally suited to the varied terrain and tight access points often encountered across the West Coast region.

This specialist vehicle is headed to Greymouth, where it will be doing the heavy lifting for ElectroNet as they support the West Coast’s electrical network. Reliable infrastructure depends on reliable equipment, and we’re proud to play a part in helping keep communities powered and connected.

Congratulations to the team involved in delivering another capable, hardworking build –here’s to seeing this crane truck out in the field doing what it does best!
