Keeping the lights on across New Zealand means working everywhere from bush-clad hill country to quiet township streets. Scanpower has built its fleet with Waimea-built Linelift® and Versalift EWPs, giving its crews the reach and insulated access they need to keep a large rural network running at its best.
Scanpower owns and operates the poles and cables carrying electricity from the National Grid to homes and businesses across the country. The network covers 2,100 square kilometres and more than 6,700 customers, so crews spend as much time on farm tracks as on sealed streets. Outriggers give each boom a stable base on uneven ground, whether that's a hillside paddock or a busy roadside.

Glove and barrier live line work is a big part of what Scanpower does, and it's where the fully insulated booms earn their place. The Linelift® DHT150S offers a 16.5m work height and a 250kg bucket on a fully insulated 46kV, Cat C boom, letting line mechanics work on energised lines while customers stay connected.

Through Scanpower Contracting, the team has delivered power services since 2003 from four locations in the lower North Island, with work ranging from new overhead and underground builds to fibre-optic installation. On larger projects, several EWPs can work side by side on the same structure, so the fleet scales to suit the job.
With the right EWPs behind a skilled lines team, Scanpower's network is in good hands.
