This August we’re shining the spotlight on Nelson Marlborough Waste’s vacuum tankers as our trucks of the month! From a capacious AV10000 to a specialised AV7000F, these specialist vehicles spend their days travelling around the Tasman and Marlborough regions, keeping our environment clean and unpolluted.

Based in Richmond, Nelson Marlborough Waste deploys its Allvac® units to remote settlements and isolated campsites which can’t be reached by most waste removal services, as well as to more populated areas around the region. Rather than pollute the area’s beautiful waterways and living areas, Nelson Marlborough Waste offers the ability to remove liquid waste and dispose of it cleanly. This might be considered difficult in a region known for its hills and bays, neither of which are very easily traversed by a heavy specialist vehicle carrying a multi-ton payload – but with the help of barges and ferries, the Allvac® vacuum tankers get around easily, travelling by sea to reach campsites and outposts. This makes for some stunning views, especially with an Allvac® in the picture!

Nelson Marlborough Waste has a acquired a few of these powerful Allvac® units to their fleet. First up is two of Waimea’s heaviest lifter, the AV10000. It’s a top performer for its class and remains one of our most popular units with operators. Equipped with a top-of-class NVE pump to offer optimum performance, the unit is appointed on the 6×4 Hino to ensure the operator has the best combination of comforts and performance with a compact turning circle, adequate power for towing and payload for optimising pickup trips. Its impressive capacity allows it to remove liquid waste from far-flung areas with maximum efficiency.

The company also boasts a unique AV7000F, a more compact but equally powerful unit designed specifically for dealing with flammable and corrosive waste. It’s equipped with a 7000-litre stainless steel tank and supplied with certifications, specific tank venting and vacuum pump applications to allow it to carry out flammable vacuuming. A 600L water tank is also included, operating a 15L/min water pressure pump running at 200bar for easy cleaning of equipment and additional water when no other source is available. This specialist vehicle is ideal for removing more dangerous waste before it can cause any damage to the environment or the people in it.

Nelson Marlborough Waste’s use of their Allvac® units, both in remote areas like campsites and in more everyday liquid waste work around the region, is a perfect example of what these units can do to keep communities running smoothly and maintain public and environmental health.
