Small But Mighty – The Versalift VTL35 On Ford Ranger
October’s truck of the month may be small, but it is mighty. The Versalift VTL35 on Ford Ranger is a specialist vehicle that can go anywhere, giving lines workers a compact, easy-to-use, and affordable option for reaching worksites. This month we’re giving it the recognition it deserves!
Mounted on a simple but powerful Ford Ranger 4×4 chassis, the VTL35 only requires a Class 1 license and can easily be driven on all roads, from tight city corners to rough rural tracks. This versatility makes it a winner in any fleet, able to get to work easily on almost any job.
Its small size makes it incredibly agile on the job – not only can it easily access tight or remote spots, but it can also get in close to the actual issue. And even with its two outriggers extended, it has a minimal footprint and can be easily used by a single operator. This makes for a well-organised worksite, without the cramped quarters a larger truck and multiple operators would create.
The Versalift bucket and crane is no less impressive – its two man bucket has a capacity of up to 200kg, and the crane has a working height of 12 metres and a working radius of 7 metres, with zero tail swing to make operation awkward. This makes it an ideal alternative to ladders or other short-range access solutions, since the insulated boom makes it safe for use around power lines and electrical utilities.
Ideal for anything from street lighting to rural powerline work, the VTL35 is a unit that can deal with any situation with quiet and efficient ease. Compact, tough, capable, and reliable – it’s an asset to any fleet!
